AARP Foundation encourages well-being in the workplace by promoting career development and a healthy work-life balance. For example, employees can take part in Foundation University, which gives them the opportunity to learn within their own discipline, but also to learn more about the foundation as a whole. AARP Foundation also redesigned its office space to include both quiet work areas and more collaborative spaces. Employees can take advantage of 80 hours of caregiving leave each year, as well as 48 hours of community service leave. To celebrate its staff, AARP Foundation holds an annual holiday party, which provides the perfect opportunity for employees to showcase their talents, such as baking and singing.
“A great company culture depends on recognizing the talents of all members of the organization, nurturing those talents and helping them develop.”
