House of Kaizen
“We think we’ve got something special here,” says Matt Cronin. He adds that the best companies don’t push culture — they build communities, and that goes beyond offering great perks. To that end, House of Kaizen (HoK) operates under a values-based mindset, and ensures that it remains continually focused on those values. “HoK exists as both a sanctuary and incubator for the rare individuals who share the ethos of continuous improvement,” says Cronin. To ensure that the company lives that value every day, it works to give back beyond its internal community. For several years, HoK has given its time and resources to the Henry Street Settlement, one of New York’s oldest family shelters, and spends time in schools working directly with children. Any time HoK holds a catered lunch, leftovers are bagged up and distributed by team members to those in need.
“From Easter egg hunts to trivia games, we do it all and don’t need an excuse to have some fun. Throughout the warmer season, we make use of our terrace to host games. The most recent was a trivia contest and catered BBQ. When it’s colder and we have to move indoors, HoK’s Got Talent is always a top pick for the team.”
