Natalie McDonald dealt with advertising industry conventions like hierarchy, process and lackluster leadership throughout her career. That’s why, when she established Create NYC, she set out to build an organization where staff commitment and passion are directly correlated to experience, opportunity and financial compensation. McDonald says employees are encouraged to own their role in the agency’s success, and to benefit from it. To support her high-achieving team, McDonald has created an environment that promotes flexible hours and virtual work, as well as fun and wellness.
