THE POWER OF GOOD RELATIONSHIPS
REDCOM Design & Construction LLC is a design-build construction company specializing in commercial facilities. The REDCOM team has worked on a diverse range of projects, including car dealerships, private schools, warehouses, industrial facilities, breweries, mixed-use/retail centers and places of worship. In 1998, president Gregory J. Redington took over leadership of the company from his father Jim, who had founded REDCOM. From 2010 to 2016, the company’s employee population has grown from 20 to 80.
Quick Tip: “Humility is extremely important to being a good leader. At the end of the day, we all go to sleep as a human being and all wake up as a human being.”
“The major factor that has contributed to my company’s growth is the quality of the services we provide and the relationships we develop with our clients,” says Redington. “Since 1982, most of our referrals have come via word of mouth. Over 60 percent of our business comes from repeat clients.” To maintain good client relationships, Redington adds, REDCOM has to be sensitive to three major elements of the construction industry: price, quality and timing. “If we can hit or exceed our goals for all three of those elements, we have found that clients come back to us and ask us to do more work for them.” Over the next few years, REDCOM hopes to stay on a path of organic growth.
