ApTask provides staffing and workforce solutions for IT, finance and administrative talent. “Our dedication to delivery and client satisfaction has been the biggest factor in our growth,” says CEO Joseph Butler. “More than 75 percent of our business is through referrals from our installed client base, and we take that recommendation with the greatest level of reverence and respect.” Within its first year in business, ApTask became the prime supplier for three of Wall Street’s largest investment banks. Since then, the company has seen continuous high levels of growth.

ApTask’s success was also fueled by a strategic decision that set it apart from competitors. “Unlike most of our competitors, who leveraged third-party [recruitment-process outsourcing] (RPO) firms offshore, ApTask took the plunge and opened our own captive RPO in three locations across the globe,” says Butler. “We focused on a delivery model that allowed us to work 24/7 and deliver to clients with the speed and quality they deserved.” ApTask is working on two major acquisitions that may allow it to break through a major revenue milestone in 2017. “Each of these acquisitions are being internally funded, with no lending needed,” says Butler. In the future, the company also wants to shore up its commitment to the veteran community by employing returning veterans in both operations and recruiting positions.
