Through the Healthy Blue Rewards program, the company incentivizes participants to engage in simple actions that help them understand and improve their health status. Participants in the program are eligible to earn a rewards card that can help pay for deductible or copay expenses. Individuals can earn up to $300 and families up to $750 per year on their cards by doing routine checkups.

In addition, employees have access to free counseling services, flu shots and an on-site gym. Every spring, employees organize the Herren Fit-Fest — a competitive event meant to encourage healthy activity. Strength, cardiovascular performance and personal nutrition are measured as part of the event.
