MAG Aerospace delivers manned aerial surveillance, unmanned aircraft systems and aviation training services to federal and commercial customers worldwide. “A key component of MAG’s mission is to make the world a safer place,” says CEO Joseph Fluet.
Words of Wisdom: “You don’t need a three- or five-year plan. If your business is growing, things will change so fast that a quarter is like a year. Decide what your end goal is.”
MAG provides support to law enforcement and has conducted counterterrorist and counternarcotic missions to provide safety for U.S. citizens and for communities worldwide. For example, MAG carried out a Geospatial Imagery – Manned ISR Operations counternarcotic mission in support of the U.S. government throughout South America. In a 19-month period, MAG flew 780 missions that took 515 hours of video and resulted in multiple targets found and fixed by host-nation forces.
MAG and its leadership are active supporters of community causes. For example, Hope for the Warriors teamed with MAG’s executives on a business bootcamp for a group of veteran entrepreneurs. C-level executives from the MAG team, mostly veterans themselves, discussed their careers, how they built on their experiences in the military, and presented short classes on business development. In 2015, as part of Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic, MAG pilots used company planes to fly sick children and a parent to medical treatments that were outside their area and otherwise unaffordable for the families.
