The workplace at Ingenicomm, Inc. is built around the concepts of participatory decision making and shared responsibility, says president and CEO Amit Puri. The organizational structure, corporate procedures and planning philosophy are designed to allow all members of the team to play a valuable role in improving day-to-day operations and determining the future path of the company.
Words of Wisdom: “Ingenicomm provides a rich portfolio of technical tutorials and training classes that cover existing and emerging industry standards, best practices, and lessons learned from prior programs.”
Ingenicomm uses a flat corporate structure, where different employees act as leaders of their own projects, while supporting a team on others. “This approach provides opportunities for employees to grow their own careers, builds camaraderie among teammates and gives each employee an appreciation for the work involved in leading a team,” says Puri.
Ingenicomm’s community service initiatives are largely focused on support for STEM education. As part of the company’s partnership with the Center for Space Science and Engineering Research and the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Ingenicomm engineers have worked with students and faculty to plan lessons, assist with practical exercises and demonstrations, and support students pursuing independent learning projects.
