Committing to wellness: LiveWell@Jeff, the wellness program at Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, was introduced in 2013. The program consists of three requirements for employees: Complete an online health assessment, complete a biometric screening and earn 60 points through various wellness activities. Preventative screenings, company-sponsored lunch-and-learns, regular physical activity and wellness challenges are just a few of the ways employees can earn points.
FUN FACT: LiveWell@Jeff includes a 12-week program of personalized workout sessions, nutrition consultations and health assessments.
Special perks: Jefferson has partnered with RedBrick Health to provide a better user experience and improved disease-management tools as part of LiveWell@Jeff. Employees and their spouses can now use an interactive portal to sync their activity trackers, access online health coaching and record their wellness points. As a result of the partnership with RedBrick, Jefferson’s employees and their spouses have access to free biometric screenings at not only Jefferson but also participating Walgreens and LabCorp locations.
Solid results: In 2015, Jefferson saw a 15-percent reduction in ER visits among its employees, as well as an 11-percent reduction in both medical and surgical admissions. What’s more, LiveWell@Jeff has engendered positive perceptions among employees, with 86 percent believing that Jefferson actively supports their health.
