Infiana USA, Inc. manufactures and supplies release films used for roofing underlayment, which serves as a barrier from water and ice for commercial and residential roofing. In 2008, when the economy suffered a significant downturn, Infiana’s industry did too. President Robert Shumoski says this was a major turning point for the company, allowing it to refocus on improving the business. As a result, Infiana has been able to increase capacity by 20 percent without making any capital investments. In addition to that, Infiana has increased its volume by 69 percent, and revenue by 73 percent.
Quick Tip: “Believe in yourself, believe in your employees, believe in your ideas, and most importantly, learn something new every day.”
Shumoski says the key to Infiana’s success has been collaboration, along with an innovative strategy. The company doesn’t just collaborate with the buyer; it works with designers, engineers, technical experts and the end user of its product to ensure that its solutions offer the highest value. Internally, Shumoski says engagement and communication have been crucial. Today, Infiana is focused on supporting its future growth objectives. In 2017, the company plans to enter a new market: personal care and feminine hygiene. To do this, it will acquire new equipment and technology, allowing it to grow, excel and diversify.
