Consultants2Go (C2G) was founded by two working mothers who saw a desperate need for more flexible work arrangements. That’s why flexibility is one of the core principles of the virtual company’s culture. “It is completely acceptable for a team member to say ‘I need to run out in the afternoon to take care of something … and I’ll be back to finish the work.’ We embrace this and we made it part of our culture,” says Peggy McHale. Maintaining a strong culture among a virtual team is no easy task. To ensure everyone feels the team spirit, the company strategically plans time together, like its annual golf and spa day. C2G also takes on a number of philanthropic initiatives. With a workforce that is more than 75 percent female, the company focuses on helping women in underserved communities.
“We are believers in the fact that entrepreneurship, coupled with a solid work ethic and education, paves the way to becoming successful.”
