As a nonprofit that provides psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery programming to those with chronic and persistent mental health disorders, Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services needs employees who are dedicated to the mission. Cory Storch encourages a team-centered approach and provides employees with time to unwind by offering tickets to baseball games and organizing social events that employees can enjoy with their family, friends and the individuals they serve. Music and visual arts are also encouraged among employees as an activity they can undertake alongside Bridgeway’s clients. In addition, Storch says Bridgeway’s director of quality improvement is focused on constantly monitoring conditions and needs among staff. Each year, the company hosts a formal dinner and dancing event for employees and guests, during which the most senior staff member shares cake-cutting duties with the newest staff member.
