The culture at Reliance Star Payment Services, Inc. is based on what it calls the 4Rs: reliability, right thing, results and respect. “The company is competing against hundreds and thousands of other merchant service providers and there are always temptations for quick sales with undeliverable promises,” says Fenella Kim. “However, due to the 4Rs, Reliance Star is able to keep the promises the company makes to its clients.” Reliance Star hosts quarterly employee outings every year. “For the first and third quarters, we go out for evening events such as movie nights, bowling nights, dinner parties or whatever the employees vote for,” says Kim. “For the summer outings, we have a bigger event during the day. For this year, the company had a nice lunch buffet at a Japanese restaurant.”
