Founder and Principal
After spending 12 years working in a traditional employment agency, Vacaré Group founder and principal Nancy Drees decided there was a better way to provide recruiting services. Instead of charging clients big fees and finding a quick hire to get commission, the Vacaré Group’s model is relationship driven. “We focus on long-term quality hires. This model has proven to be cost-effective for our clients, saving them an average of 50 percent of the cost of hire compared to a traditional staffing firm,” says Drees.
Quick Tip: “It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you give yourself the permission to do so.”
In 2013, Drees faced a personal challenge that shaped her into a better leader and led to the founding of Vacaré Group. Drees found herself in the middle of a divorce, learning to be a single mom and without a clear way to take care of her children, one of whom has special needs. “I had a choice to take action to improve my life or to continue to struggle. I had to figure out a way to provide for my children,” she says. As a result, Vacaré Group was formed.
To give back to the community, Drees is a volunteer committee member for the American Heart Association (AHA). In her role, she is responsible for securing sponsorships for events and fundraising efforts. Vacaré Group serves as a sponsor for AHA events, and Drees personally donates to each event as well.
