LEADERSHIP AND MENTORING: Kris Kurcoba, VP of the Mid-Atlantic for Eliassen Group, tries to lead by example, which includes working hard and rewarding hard work in turn. He is always open to new ideas from the team. For example, every month, Kurcoba asks the team to come up with a concept that everyone will ultimately compete on for a prize.

OVERCOMING CHALLENGES: Since Eliassen Group’s acquisition of fellow staffing firm Clovis a few years ago, Kurcoba has had to ensure all team members work together cohesively. This has been a challenge, but has helped him learn a great deal about leadership style and how each of the offices he manages is different.
DRIVING VALUE: Kurcoba has implemented enhanced metrics across the entire office and then analyzed the data to zero in on the most successful team members. He then developed a reporting style that helps newer or junior team members follow the success of their predecessors.
